The agreement gives the company exclusive rights to market the brands Comfort, Quality, Quality Resort, Clarion Collection and Clarion in Scandinavia, as well as access to the chain´s international distribution and reservation systems. The company has its own operations and marketing organisations in Norway (Oslo), Sweden (Stockholm) and Denmark (Copenhagen). Choice Hotels Scandinavia´s goal is to become the leading hotel chain in the Nordic countries. In Norway Choice have 84 hotels spread over the whole country. The owner of the Choice Hotels Scandinavia, is a environmental activist and the Choice Hotels are the first smokefree and ecological hotelchain in Scandinavia. COMFORT Comfort Hotel a "Bed & Breakfast brand". This is a brand with enthusiastic staff, simple and effective solutions, offering guests a good hotel experience to a high standard. These are good physical hotel products in city locations. QUALITY Quality Hotel a "City business/Conference brand" in or close to city centres or near airports. With pleasant restaurants, enjoyable bars, well-equipped meeting facilities, and a range of exiting activities. QUALITY RESORT Quality Resort the brand for Quality-hotels offering an especially wide range of activities close to major attractions. With these hotels, the destination is a large part of the total product offering. CLARION Clarion Hotel is first class business hotels with an international atmosphere, high room standards, excellent restaurants and conference facilities. The hotels offer highly professional service and are centrally located in larger cities and near airports. CLARION COLLECTION Clarion Collection is established as a new brand for smaller business hotels with a limited range of services but which focuses on individual service where guests should feel at home. These hotels are to a high structural standard with individual character in terms of history and location. ECOLOGICAL FOOD From february 1st 2008 we offer ecological breakfast on all Choice Hotels in Scandinavia. This means that you can eat your most important meal of the day without any artificial substitutes. This is both beneficial for the animals, for our environment and for you. MEETINGS AND CONFERENCES We are well aware that every meeting has its own agenda, and that meetings are subject to numerous, changing requirements. That is why we have chosen to focus clearly on options. CHILDREN´S HOTEL During the summerperiod june 22 - august 12 we have created a wonderland for children. A place where kids can be kids and adults relax without worrying about strict hotel managers given the little ones stern looks. Giggles and pranks are the best we know! Piccolo Piccolo, our Children´s Hotel mascot visits our hotels during the summer. Piccolo has created his own set of rules. The youngest guests have a written right to pinch the director´s bum, the right to straws with every drink at every meal, and of course they are entitled to rooms free of ghosts, goblins and monsters underneath the beds. All this according to the Piccolo Act. Piccolo has also decided that all children should get a welcome-gift when they are staying at a Children´s Hotel. We have grouped our hotels in categories based on what concept the hotels can offer. Children´s Hotel is divided into 3 Piccolo-categories: 1. Piccolo means the hotel has it´s own check-in for children, welcome gift and children movies in the hotel room 2. Piccolo means the hotel has everything that is offered at the first level + playing room and children´s menu. 3. AQUAPARKS In Norway you can choose between three hotels which alle have their own huge aquaparks. Some of the activities to choose from are: aquapark of minimum 1700 sq.m., fitness centre, water slides and paddling pool for the youngest. All waterpark hotels offer on free night if you stay from Friday to Monday outside the summer period.
