HAUGFOSSEN
The mighty Haugfossen falls is five minutes walk from Blaafarveværket. The cobalt had to be mined, transported the seven kilometres by horses to the crushing works by the Haugfossen waterfall and over the Simoa river to the glassworks.
Haugfossbutikken the old fashioned country shop is an important part of Blaafarveværket. It sells sweets and is stocked with old fashioned goods. A large range of stones, jewellery and minerals for sale.
