FAUSKE
The Fauske municipality also includes Valnesfjord, a fine center for outdoor life in both summer and winter. Sulitjelma is a former mining community surrounded by majestic mountains and glaciers. Fauske is perhaps best known for its marble. Norwegian Rose as it is called, adorns amongst others the UN building in New York, the Japanese Emperor's Palace and Oslo Town Hall.
