GLOMFJORD MOUNTAINS
To reach the mountains, exit road Rv17 at Fykanbergene and drive the 9 km to Namnlaushøgda, where you will find a wonderful hiking terrain with marked trails, grottos and fishing waters. If you are looking for a physical challenge, follow the "Rallarmarsj stien" trail to the Nedre Navervann lake and then walk on to Fykandalen via Fykantrappen´s 1,129 steps. There is also a range of activities on offer during the winter season.
Rock carvings
At Fykanbergan and Åmøy there are two large sites with rock carvings dating back to the early Stone Age. Approximately 8,000-9,000 years. They are today in bad conditions.
