Søndre Land

Søndre-Land muncipality has approximately 5.900 inhabitants and covers a area of 728,4 km2. Farming and forestry have always been important for settling and employment in Søndre-Land. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Hov. Søndre Land is 39.2 kilometres on a north-south axis and 31.3 kilometres east-west. It lies in the south of Oppland and on the northern end of Randsfjord. The highest elevation is Skjellinghovde with a height of 856 metres. The main population centers include Holmen and Hov.

The distance from Oslo is about 110 kilometres, and the Oslo Airport Gardermoen, is only one hour and a half away.
