THE NORWEGIAN BOOK TOWN
The Norwegian Book Town is situated in Fjærland. Booktowns are now found in many picturesque and attractive places, but Den Norske bokbyen prides itself on beeing the eight booktown in the world. Here, we also take advantage of the light midsummer nights, celebrating this with an international boo-fair in June.
The Norwegian Book town give booklovers the opportunity of browsing around along nearly 3000 metres of bookshelves. Here you will find books in several languages, most of them in Norwegian of course, but also an extensive selection of books in English, French and German. Opening season: May to September.
